Patrícia Veríssimo Silva is a PhD student at the University of Aveiro (Portugal), in NanoFASE she works mainly in WP9, but is also involved in WP8.

My name is Patrícia Veríssimo Silva and I am a PhD student at the University of Aveiro (Portugal), where I obtained my degree in Biology and Geology and master's degree in Ecotoxicology.

I work mainly in WP9, but I am also involved in WP8. My work is focused on tracking and quantifying the uptake of nanoparticles by freshwater biota, and assessing bioaccumulation potential through aquatic food chains, under environmentally relevant conditions. A big part of my work will be centered on using mesocosm experiments in order to simulate real scenarios of natural stream environments.

Apart from my interest in research, I really love reading, travelling and eating!!
